Philip Ottenbrite in Conversation with Medrie MacPhee
December 8, 2012

Barbara Edwards Contemporary is pleased to present Philip Ottenbrite in conversation with artist Medrie MacPhee. Philip Ottenbrite received his BFA from University of Windsor in 1974. He has worked as Assistant Director at Pollock Gallery from 1975-78; Director at Mira Godard Gallery from 1982-89; and Paolo Baldacci Gallery in New York from 1989-95. He has written on a variety of artists including Mark Tobey, Paterson Ewen, David Milne and Medrie MacPhee and is presently writing a book on the underground Harlem ball world.

As a longtime supporter and contributor to the scholarship surrounding MacPhee's work, Philip Ottenbrite's insights promise to be an engaging and personal view into this exhibition.

Holiday reception to follow.
